Disney 2018

We are planning to go to Disney in December of 2018.

How far out should we start planning? I would like to use a travel agent that is a Disney expert.

I started planning like a year in advance. I put an initial deposit of $200 to secure my package.

I booked with TravelKerri. Kerri is just awesome! She answers all my questions and so patient with me!! :)

Thanks! Did she book all of your Restaurant Reservations, Fast Passes and any other special things? I know nothing about booking these things. I was just looking at the 2017 thread and it was giving me anxiety - lol.

She did. I just emailed her all my top Dining Reservations (and back ups) and she was up early to secure those for me. Don't let that thread scare you.....it's actually so much fun planning!!!!

Which resort are you thinking of staying at?

Ideally, I would like to stay along the monorail line because I thought it would be easier to get to the parks with a 7 yr old and 3 yr old and a double stroller. But I am finding the prices of those resorts the first or second week of December to be really expensive.

I wouldn't even know what restaurants or character dinings to tell her to book! lol

I booked my character dinings based on the characters my kids want to see. Which are yours into?

You have so much time to think about restaurants. You can book 180 days before. If you stay onsite you can book your whole trip at 180 days. If not each day at the 180 mark you'd have to book.

I'll help you with all the diff character meals. They're may even be new ones when you go.

For your DD:
dining: princesses at Cinderella Royal Table in MK, Akershus at Epcot, Trattora Al Forno has a new breakfast at the Boardwalk with Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel and Eric
fastpasses: she can meet princesses at Princess Fairytale Hall. She can meet Cinderella & Elena (in one room) and Rapunzel & Tiana (in another room)
Frozen Ever After Ride - Epcot

Frozen princesses I believe are now meeting at Epcot.

For your son:
Mickey dining is at Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Ohana breakfast (though it's Lilo and Stitch but they say Mickey is there too), Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.
Mickey's attire is a bit different (theme) in each of the different restaurants.

Fastpasses for Mickey I believe is at MK..there is a talking Mickey at the Town Square Theater

Not sure if there is anything with Lion Guard yet.

Note: There may be different options when you go and I do agree you have time but just wanted to throw those out there.

We are planning Disney for March 2017. My kids are 7 and 5 and this will be our first trip and planning is a little overwhelming, but I think I really want to do it myself. I have a notebook where I am keeping little tidbits of information I come across and someone recommended disneytouristblog.com as a place for information.
Not sure on where we want to stay yet. Are the hotel pools open in March? I kinda like Coronado Springs and Carribean Beach, but renos may keep me away.
I have a list of fastpass rides and restaurants. So excited to for this trip!!

We stayed at Coronado last Summer. Didn't like it AT ALL. Our rooms were in the Cabanas section, and were run down and just not nice at all.

Planning to go in 2018! Hopefully mid-late September/Early October but since it is so far away it is very hard to plan for at this point. I know I want to see all 4 major parks and do a few character meals this time around.

It isn't patience, it's a pleasure to answer your questions!

The 2018 packages should be out this Summer.
My services are 100% FREE although after reading these comments maybe I should start charging in wine Chat Icon

I can help as much or as little as you like. I am up daily making dining reservations and booking fast passes for my clients but some like to do those things on their own.
I also monitor all of the promotions that are released to make sure my clients are getting the best rates available.

I would love to help you plan a magical vacation! Send me an email so that we can get started and you will be one of the firs to know when the 2018 packages are available!
