Is one night enough at Mohegan/foxwoods?
Is one night enough at a place like Mohegan/foxwoods or would 2 nights be better? If you have only gone for 1 night can you tell me what you did/planned for the day? I have a hard time with budgeting time when I feel like a 4 or 5pm check in and an 11 am checkout is so short!

I think one is fine. We got there earlier than 4 - if you can't get an early check in,they will hold your luggage for you. We had lunch, gambled, shopped, had dinner and drinks, gambled some more!

Re: Is one night enough at Mohegan/foxwoods?
We always only go to Mohegan for one night. I'ts more than enough for us since we are not gamblers. We take an 10 or 11 ish ferry from Orient. Get in around lunch time. Check in, go get some lunch. Then we walk around and go in all the shops. If we do any gambling at all, we will hit the slots for a bit, then maybe get some coffee or a drink and head back to the room to relax before dinner. You can also use the pool or spa or in the afternoon that day if you want
Then we go out to dinner and a drink, walk around the casino, do any gambling we want to do (we don't do much at all) maybe get dessert and head back up to the room.
Next morning is breakfast, you can walk around some more, do some more gambling and then head out on any time ferry you want. We are usually bored after a few hours that next day since we aren't gambling much so we take an early afternoon ferry home
ETA- I have always arrived WAY before 4 and they always have a room ready. If they don't they can hold your bags and you can just go about your day as soon as you get there so definitely arrive early. Same on check out day- if you want to stay longer- just have them hold your bags after check out

Yes. We went for 2 nights recently and lost way more money than we wanted to from not having much to do during the day and doing unnecessary gambling with that time. If it was pool weather I think we would have liked the extra night more but one night is more than enough.

Yes. Dh and I went last year. We did 3 hours at Foxwoods and 3 hours in Mohegan sun. We stayed another night and went to Newport Rhode Island and mystic aquarium.

Re: Is one night enough at Mohegan/foxwoods?
One night is fine, I do like 2 nights though. We try to go to Mohegan (which I like more than Foxwoods) when they have a good show to see, it gives us a fun nighttime activity. There are many good places to eat, the spa, the pool, and even just relaxing in your room............the rooms are HUGE and beautiful.
Even though check in is late, you can get there earlier in the day and if the room is ready they will check you in early and if it's not, you can enjoy the facilities and they will text you once it is.
ETA - Like others mentioned, we also take an early ferry and get there around lunch.

Were you at Foxwoods? Mohegan's pool is indoor- they have an outdoor pool deck for the summer and the roof may open - not sure- but at least you can use the pool year round which I like

One night is fine. I've gone for 2 nights but have always left for the second day to go to Mystic. Unless you plan on doing a LOT of gambling or another activity, 2 nights is overkill.

Re: Is one night enough at Mohegan/foxwoods?
We stay at Mohegan for two nights. First day/night at Mohegan only. The next day we go to Mystic and Foxwoods. I don't live on LI, so no ferry for us.
