anyone read "hands free mama"?

Looking to get into a new book, and read alot of positive reviews on "Hands Free Mama: A Guide to Putting Down the Phone, Burning the To-Do List, and Letting Go of Perfection to Grasp What Really Matters!"

Anyone read this?

No, but I obviously need some type of guidance since I barely have time to pee let alone read a book!

Thanks! As the school year winds down in a couple of months, I'll have more time to get into a good book. This one sounds like a book I really could learn from lol

I am so far from a perfectionist that I probably should have wrote this book.
If anyone wants some advice on being a non perfect, disorganized, hot mess of a slob, just ask me.

I get done what I get done. My house gets cleaned when it gets cleaned and i am what I am. Hot mess some days and others I seem to pull it together. I never understood living your like to worry about what others might say.

Exactly this.
We never had a schedule, never had a routine, DD slept when she could and ate when she was hungry. Every day was different, it still is.
We have no set bed time, no bed time routine. She lets me know when she is tired and off to bed she goes.
I never followed "rules". The bottle got taken away when she was ready, same with the binky, she potty trained when she was ready- and it was all super easy that way.
I am so far from a Type A personality and I never understand anal people.
If you let it go you will live longer. Perfection sucks.

I envy you both. It may be the teacher in me, but I always need routine. I can't sleep at night if there are dishes in the sink or laundry that needs to be put away. When dd gets older and starts messing up my house, I hope to be able to take a chill pill and roll with it

This is how I am too. The only thing on a routine in my house is bed time. Some days I wish I was more scheduled but its just not me. My sil keeps a huge calendar in her house and schedules everything, meals, cleaning, laundry, workouts. I do envy her at times because she seems to have it all together and I can't even force myself to make a grocery list. My kids are happy and healthy. My house is clean always organized about 75% of the time.

you wouldn't sleep a wink in my house- it's ALWAYS a mess and I never put laundry away- I usually just leave the clean laundry it in a big pile in the laundry room and pick clothes from there when i need it- until the pile is gone because I wore it all and it's back in the hamper.... cuts out the middle step of putting it away.

I battle my husband on this sometimes. I'm all about having things happen on their own time, with a little guidance if necessary. He likes timelines.
