Spinoff of the spinoff one & done... Bigger family
Anybody the total opposite & plan to/ hope to have a bigger than average (4+ kids) family?
Since I had my first I've had a strong desire to have a big family, maybe 5 or 6. I'm due with my third this month, which will make 3 under 4 so far. We'd love to have 2 or 3 more over the next 5 years or so if possible.
In part maybe it's because we have such a small (nonexistent) extended family so my kids will never have any cousins at all so I want to provide family for them and we love having a lot of family around. Plus I have easy pregnancies, & though we're not wealthy we can afford the necessities for each kid, and we just enjoy having them & raising them a lot.
People think we are nuts. I don't care what people think but it does make me laugh. And just assume I got pregnant by accident because no way would any sane person nowadays have 3 kids so close in age ON PURPOSE right?! People also make the assumption that I'm done after this baby. (Which they also did after my second). If I say No we'd like to have some more, I get the "look" and people asking strange things like if we're religious
Anybody else want a bigger family? Doesn't seem to be too common.

I do, but I'm pretty sure 3 will be it for us. I have easy prgnancies and deliveries, but I hate being pregnant. I also nurse, and I'm not a huge fan of that either. Right now we really couldn't fit 4 in our house, but within the next 4-5 years were planning on either moving or renovating, so we probably would have room. 4 would absolutely be it though! We joke that twins next time would be perfect, bc I would deal with one pregnancy and get 2 babies!

We have 3. We could have 4... but it would be hard. We've thought about it (and almost did it), but it would be a financial and lifestyle changer (not as babies, but down the road as we hope to help them with college).

We have 4, and we love it! My DH wants more, but I have very hard pregnancies and I just can't do it to my body again. We have not ruled out fostering/adoption. I will say it's getting a bit harder now that our older ones are involved in sports etc., I'm not sure how it will be when all 4 have to be at practice/games, especially since my DH and I coach. I think if we lived near family and had a support system, I'd probably suck it up and have more lol. I just can't imagine not having a tiny baby again

Re: Spinoff of the spinoff one & done... Bigger family
I would love to, but we started a little later than I would have liked and it took me a while to concieve #2, and now I'm getting close to a year ttc #3. I'm losing hope of even having three. I secretly wish for twins so I can have 4 without going through all the crap ttc again! But if I could I would love to have more than 4!
