Need help on a gift....
My friend's husband was diagnosed with bladder and prostate cancer. He's in his 30's and he and his wife just had a baby last year. He is going to be going to chemo and extensive surgery. A group of us want to pitch in and get her (and the family) something (all of the friends are across the country to it would have to be sent).
Any ideas on what to get? They also live in Bayonne so if food is an option, maybe some of you know some restaurants in that area?
Any advice/help would be appreciated!

Cash or Visa/Amex gift card. While any gift will be appreciated I would be more practical. Let her decide what to spend the money on since I'm sure finances will be difficult.

What about a housekeeper to come weekly or every 2 weeks?
I am so sorry that he is going through this. So awful

Agreed. I was 32 when I was diagnosed with cancer and an awesome group of my LIW buddies presented me with a check from donations they all pooled together. It came in handy as I got deeper into the months of treatment!
Another idea would be a Peapod gift card if you know for a fact that they use it (or another grocery delivery service)
Honestly though, from being in those shoes (minus the kid factor) - money for them to use at their discretion for expenses would be very much appreciated.
I hope your friend feels well through his treatment! Let me know if you think he'd be interested in any young adult cancer resources (the young adult cancer age range is 18-40, most people aren't aware of that)
