Ortho surgeon rec and PT
I just found out I tore my ACL. I like my current ortho but looking for one that specializes in sports. Also looking for a PT rec too for after. The PT must be a sports geared on since I want to get back to running as quickly as possible.

Sorry to hear that.
I had both my knees replaced October 2015. Surgery was my last resort, finally had to do it because I was walking bone on bone in both knees.
Love my ortho, the PAs, and his staff. He is sports medicine.

I was at Franklin for 4 days (ortho wing is great, rest of hospital meh)
Outpatient rehab at STARS Manhasset.

You don't say what county. I'm in Suffolk. Dr. Paci at Stony Brook Ortho is a good sports medicine guy. I really like St. Charles outpatient rehab.

I'll travel anywhere for the surgery. For PT I'm in Farmingdale but will travel a bit for it.

I did 11 days of inpatient rehab before starting PT.
My therapists at STARS worked my butt off to get my flexibility back and walking normally. Tears were involved on many days, knee rehab is painful.
Nine weeks after surgery, I was driving.
STARS has multiple locations, Manhasset was the easiest one for me to get to from Bayside.

Ortho surgeon rec and PT
Dr. Rose from HSS. He just did my hip replacement!!! He is the best.
PT - Baxter and Walsh - I have been to 5 other PT places they are by FAR the best!!!! They are in Wantagh and Bayshore.

Ortho surgeon rec and PT
For PT I recommend Sparacio PT. I see them in Manhasset, but they have a Hicksville office. There are no aides or assistant. PT sees only one patient at a time. They work with everyone and help you get back to running. They are also the most 'hands on' and do manual therapy too.

I'm a patient at total ortho now so that's good to hear.... I saw Dr McCormack but don't know much about them.

For PT I used PKL Physical Therapy. I went to their location in Amityville, they also have an office in Bethpage.
