Anyone get scammed by Venmo?
I have never even heard of it. I noticed a total of $1000 on my debit being charged by them and when I called they explained who it is.
I am so pissed!

Sounds like your debit card was compromised.
The person who got your number could have charged anything- it's not Vemmo, it's the person who got your debit card info

Anyone get scammed by Venmo?
I know a lot of people who use venmo. I would guess it's your card so I would be calling the bank asap.

I'm so sorry that happened!
Venmo is a money-sharing app. Chances are that someone got your debit card information and sent money to someone else on Vemo.

Venmo is safe and reputable, agree with the above posters. Sounds like your card was compromised and Venmo was just the vehicle the person who stole your card used to transfer money.
