What does your 12 month old eat? My DS is almost 14 months and I'm not sure if I'm feeding him properly. Do you still give them baby food but not for every meal? TIA!

I stopped baby food at about 9 months for both kids once they started regular table food.

My DS was off babyfood entirely around 9-10 months. I had random jars left that I used up before he was a year.

I gave table food and jars when I didn't have time to cook. She didnt eat what we eat because to me it's not healthy enough. Too much salt, sugar etc.

Re: 1 year old diet
My kids all quit baby food at 11-13mo. They liked table food a lot more. They eat what we eat, but we eat healthy. 2-3 servings of fruits a day 2 servings of veg a day (at least) Tons of dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt) 1 servings of meat (alternating chicken, fish, beef, pork) a day 1-2 servings of carbs (bread, rice, pasta, cheerios)

My DD is 13 months. She eats everything. Hasn't had baby food since 8 months. If we have something spicy or unhealthy I cook something for her but otherwise she eats whatever we do.
For example, yesterday she had:
Breakfast: waffle with banana Lunch: veggie burger with cheese Snacks: fresh mozzarella, strawberries, cereal bar, carrots with hummus Dinner: turkey, mashed cauliflower, dinner roll Dessert: applesauce
She also gets 20oz of milk per day and I send a sippy of water to daycare (she gets another sippy with dinner). Most days she eats everything I send to daycare and the majority of her dinner. She gets (and usually finishes) her own kids' meal at restaurants.

This. The only exception is that I do give her jarred prunes because she has very hard bms and that seems to work well for her!

We quit baby food cold turkey before his 1st birthday. I found that my son was a little behind on table food, but I attribute that to him being a very late teether, and also my fault for just falling into an easy rut with the purees.
At 14 months his typical day is:
Breakfast examples- toast with PB and J, or a waffle, or oatmeal plus always a fruit like strawberries, banana etc.
Lunch examples - mini chicken wontons and veggie bits (sweet potato or kale nugget type things) or leftover pasta with meatballs, or a sandwich cut up, plus fruit, craisins, or Yogi's
Dinner - vegetables like peas, butternut squash, carrots, etc. plus a protein like cut up chicken or turkey meatballs, sometimes mac and cheese with veggies... dessert he gets 1-2 teething biscuits if he ate well. If he didn't eat enough, I sometimes give him a fruit/veggie pouch to kind of supplement the meal
Snacks: yogurt, craisins, goldfish, fruit
Water at meals and throughout the day, milk only in the morning at wakeup and before bed. My friend turned me on to Trader Joes for a lot of quick meal options and it's been a lifesaver.

Re: 1 year old diet
Mostly table food, but if not really cooking or timing is off will give baby food
Breakfast: eggs, waffles, or pancakes and fruit or oatmeal
lunch - pasta, chicken nuggets, ham, shredded cheese, or yogurt are usual options with fruit
dinner - usually what ever we are having
He doesn't snack much

I remember that by her 1st bday my dd didn't want baby food anymore and only ate table food (whatever we were eating). My son is now 9 months old and already seems to have lost interest in baby food. He likes to pick up and feed himself little pieces of real food.
