Graco Lauren Crib
Does anyone have this specific crib? How do you like it? We were given a brand new, never been used crib from my boss's neighbor (grandparent who never had the baby overnight), and while it wasn't the one I registered for, I graciously took it. Is it safe/sturdy?

Completely safe and sturdy. I did not want to spend a lot on baby furniture, and this crib was rated highly in the Baby Bargains book. It's basic, and whatever wood it's made of is on the soft side, so after 4+ years of use btw my 2 DDs, it's pretty scratched, but it serves the purpose well.

Yes, its safe/sturdy. My DS is 2 1/2 and still in the crib and it is still together with all the jumping around he does in it.

Definitely safe and sturdy. DS#1 used it and DS#2 is still in it. And he's a jumper!! Heck, so was DS#1.
The wood is sort of soft so there are some teeth marks where DS#1 tried biting into it, but otherwise it's great.
When we got it it had the drop down side and we had to use the repair kit to secure it - I was so sad - drop down side was something I really liked but soon after DS was born, they made the recommendation to not have them anymore.

have it and love it! DD will be 4 next month and used it as a crib until 6 months ago when we converted it to the toddler bed. Great piece of furniture

Take the crib. You can definitely find places to spend $ esp when the baby starts to grow and you want to do a kid's room.
