Need April destination help!
Thinking of doing a weekend getaway in April.
Somewhere within 5 hours driving distance.
Just me and DH for a fun couples weekend.
Warmer would be preferable.
also, can you recommend attractions/hotels/restaurants?

Need April destination help!
5 hours driving distance won't get you much warmer than here. 5 hours will get you to the DC area, PA or going up north (which is colder).

I would say you probably have to fly to get warmer at that time of year

Manhattan (stay there)
Atlantic City/Cape May
All are driving distance away and good for an adult weekend trip.
Mountain areas like upstate NY are in their mud season.
I agree, you need to fly to at least NC to get warmth

That time of year you'd probably have to fly to get warmer.
Mystic Ct can be nice for a couple's getaway, the Poconos, Boston, it will be nice and quiet out in the Hamptons/Montauk, a trip to DC, Ocean City Maryland, Lake George, Lake Placid...
I know these aren't warmer destinations but still nice for a quick getaway.

If warmer is not a must, I went to Boston two years ago in April and had so much funnn! So much to do and a good drive (especially if you take the ferry out of Orient).

Also, cherry blossom festival is around that time in Washington. I heard it's beautiful but super crowded.
