Where do you find is the best place to buy clothes for your baby? I got a ton of clothes from my shower but obviously will need to purchase in the future. Is carters good for clothes? Just want quality yet cost effective

I like carters and buy a lot from there. Cheap yet good quality. I also like old navy. Gymboree for nicer more expensive pieces. The children's place sometimes. I hate that store and they have a small selection for babies but they are ok but decent prices. Gap for nicer stuff.

Agree with all of this. Carter's pretty much always has a sale going on and coupons can be found online and they send them to you quite often when you sign up for their rewards program. You also earn $10 rewards for every $50 or so you spend.

I like carter's bc they hold up well and sizing is consistent most of the time. Definitely cost effective.
Target is sometimes great but I like to buy in store bc the quality varies.
Love osh kosh. Old baby and gap are hit and miss for me with how things hold up and sizing. They do carry a size called up to 7 pounds which could be helpful with twins if they are smaller. Dd2 was 4 pounds and that was perfect when she outgrew preemie but wasn't ready for newborn yet.

Thanks! I have a bunch of stuff from my shower from the various places listed. I am a member of carters and get emails for sales like daily plus coupons I'll see how the clothes fit the boys before buying more for them!

I may be in the minority but I dislike Carters. I don't find the quality to be that great and for girls, I find the sizing to be so small and narrow. DD has also always been very tall and the shirts are short. I religiously shop for DD at Kohls. I really like their Jumping Beans brand. She's in daycare full time, and I refuse to pay more than like $6 a piece for everyday clothes -- some get stained and ruined within 1-2 wears. They seem to wash well and all the colors coordinate for each season. There are always Kohls coupons and the Jumping Beans brand is usually 30-40% off.

Re: Clothes
I shop gymboree sales. I get fewer pieces & launder often. Gap stuff shrunk on me, So never again. Gymboree stuff has lasted 3 kids (my DD, my sister's kid & now my youngest). Still looks brand new!

I buy mostly Target. They grow too fast to spend any kind of money on it.

Re: Clothes
I prefer Carters, Gymboree, Target (Cat and Jack line) and sometimes Old Navy and H&M - they can be hit or miss. I hate TCP, their stuff runs very slim for my kids.
