macy's furniture store RAVE!

If anyone is looking to get new furniture for a good price i would definitely recommend going here, specifically to the clearance center in the back of the store.

My sister has the Kenton sofa and we LOVE it. We previously had a Bob's sofa and really hated it, and finally made the decision to just get rid of it and buy a new couch. We intended on buying the Kenton sofa and ottoman new at the store. It is $899, the storage ottoman is $499, and having it delivered to us would cost an additional $130. We walked in and had no idea there was a clearance center. They are discontinued, returned items, or previous floor models. You definitely need to have some patience when walking through, and need to make sure you thoroughly examine any items you want as they are not returnable. We walked into the back and saw the EXACT same sofa there for $299 and the matching storage ottoman for $79 (regularly $499). The delivery price is still the same as the front of the store offered, but we have a friend with a pickup truck and we were able to forego the delivery price. So the total price came out to around $320. We saved 20% because DH opened a Macy's credit card. If you buy brand new, the delivery is mandatory. I couldn't believe the deal we got, and had no idea they even had a separate clearance store attached. If i didn't walk all the way to the back to use the bathroom, I would never have known it existed.

ETA: We just sold our Bob's sofa and the matching coffee table for $300 too!

Thats awesome!!!! Thanks for the info. We have a Bobs couch that is 6 yrs old and completely falling apart - I will NEVER buy from there again. What Macys did you go to?
