Cheap minivan rental Orlando

I'm looking to rent a minivan late February - early March 2017. I need to transport 7 people from point A to B, I don't need anything fancy.

Prices for big names (Hertz, Budget, Avis, etc) are over $1000! I'm looking at Fox and Nu which are about $550, but some of the reviews online are scaring me. Has anyone used either or have another rental place (with a coupon code maybe) that is cheap but reliable? TIA!!!

I usually find the best deal through Dollar - their city specials are the most reasonable.

I also find the prices change frequently - sometimes between the morning and afternoon!

I've also noticed most coupon codes are good until 12/31/16. Maybe if I wait until the new year there will be more discounts.

Try after the new year if you're not going during a break, but the last time we had a large group in Orlando and I looked into a minivan we ended up just getting two cars as it was significantly cheaper. And this wasn't during a break - this was the second week in November. Busy but not insane.

We have a credit card that gets us elite rental car status at national. We always get an SUV with 3 rows or a minivan and pay for a regular car rental.

You still have to pay for the credit card... but with that and the other services we get from the card (flight & hotel benefits) it pays itself off every year.

Thank you for trying those dates for me. We're going Feb 26 - March 7. I've been getting similar results. I've just never had to rent a minivan before. I suppose those are the prices. I'm used to renting a small or compact for around $200.

Last time we rented, my inlaw's used fox because it was cheapest...it was a pain...they are far from the airport, the shuttle had a dripping ac unit that we thought was going to fall out on us, we waited forever to actually get our cars, and then had to return it very early because it was so far from the airport. Not worth the savings to me.

Do you have a Costco card? I just rented a van in December for a week and it was $280 through them which was awesome. The rental was through Alamo.

ETA: we picked up at Orlando airport, very quick and easy, drop off was even easier.

I don't have Costco but I have a BJs card. Maybe I'll check that out. Thanks for the tip!

I looked on my Costco and it says for your dates $578, for a dodge caravan through Alamo. So I would see if bjs can match or even if you call Alamo and ask them to give you that price.

I would just keep checking. I needed a minivan rental in Orlando last April. Every time I checked it was over $500-600. Someone on here suggested that I keep checking because the prices will keep changing. That's what I did. I ended up getting it for like $250.

ETA: Just wanted to say my rental was for 1 week.
