Plastic Milk Containers

Does anyone get their milk in the plastic conatiners?

I notice that even if the milk is still good, the containers start to smell.

I just smelled the milk and it smelled awful. I was about to toss it, then decided to pour it in a glass to double check and the milk smelled and tasted 100% fine. (It's not even at the expiration date yet)

But when I smell it in the container, it smells so bad.

What gives with that?

We don't usually buy cow's milk- only almond milk- but I had bought this for a recipe the other day so i wanted to use it up.

To be honest, it's kind of weird that it would smell like that in the container yet smell 100% fine when poured in a glass. What kind of voo doo is that?

I haven't really noticed it but my dh hates milk from a plastic container. He tells me it tastes and smells weird so now I only buy cardboard container.

I really hate plastic. Even plastic food containers. I've contemplated buying a nice glass container with pour spout and lid to transfer the milk into. Maybe try that?

I think it's milk that get splashed onto the container when they are bottling it.
I've noticed it smelling nasty too. So now I wipe down the plastic container when I get home and it hasn't smelled bad since.

I notice that all the time. I usually throw it out anyway because it just smells so bad. I think it's the cap that holds the smell?

Funny, I smelled my carton of milk this morning and I thought it smelled like poo. DH couldn't smell it. I opened the new carton and it smelled the same. I was adding it to coffee, so I can't say if the milk out of the container smells. I thought it was probably the DHA in it, since I usually don't buy that kind.
