IMO GC should always be general, VISA, MC, this way people can spend where and on whatever. I would never use an Amazon or best buy card.
Store specific is trapping someone into that store
MO, cash or check is even better.

I think Amazon is fine - since you can buy almost anything there. I give them a lot for various things - especially since you can buy them online and print them at home (since I usually forget).

I never buy Amazon. I was given a $75 GC to barns n noble 3 yrs ago and still have not used it lol. WOULD love to sell it
