Apple TV
I just got rid of cable tv. I have a firestick and my girls watch Netflix from their dads account on their computers.
What is the Apple TV like? I see a 3rd gen at target for about $60. Do i need to pay for additional subscriptions? What comes with the basic apple TV?

I'm pretty sure you have to pay for the channels you subscribe to (Hulu, showtime, HBO, etc) if you are an amazon prime member you get amazon video BUT I'm almost positive you cannot use that on the Apple TV just the roku but I could be totally wrong

We watch Netflix with our apple tv. Super easy. You can also watch youtube and other apps but we mostly use it for Netflix.

apple tv is just another platform to get movies, tv shows etc...
You will add NETFLIX and other similar apps to start watching shows.
Some apps requires monthly fees.
