Do you wake your infant up in the morning to keep a consistent wake time?

I was told that my 8.5 month old should wame at the same time each day to help her be able to go to sleep at night. I never want to wake her up if she's sleeping though. Do you wake your infant up in the morning?

I never wake my kids up and they are great sleepers...some days they sleep till 7ish others it could be close to 9..they are 4 and 2 1/2

NO!!!! I do know some people who did that, but I was not one of them. Even now I don't wake them up and we never have a problem with bedtime.

Nope! I figure if he sleeps late, he's tired.

He goes to bed at the 7:30 regardless of when he wakes. During the week, we wake him at 6:20. On weekends, he wakes up between 6:45-7:30. Sometimes later.

I've never heard of such a thing. I would never do that. I'd welcome the extra sleep!

Only time I ever did with dd was if I had to work,or if she had been napping for a long time

We had to M-F because if daycare but on weekends we always let him sleep but he never slept late.

Oh hell no lol. I only wake up if we need to be somewhere.

Hell no! I want them to sleep as much and as late as possible!!

Yes... but it's not my only kid, so our day all starts the same time. IMO, yes... it keeps things on schedule.

If I have no where to go then HELL NO!!!!!!
I wake during the day to keep a feeding schedule but once they are in bed at night I do not wake a sleeping baby - I start that rule from day 1 - it has worked very well for me in the past
DD1 -slept through the night at 8-10 weeks
DD2 - slept through the night at 6-7 weeks
DD3 - slept through the night at 3 weeks

No - never wake a sleeping baby unless the baby is having weight issues

We worked with a sleep coach who gave us this advice but to be honest it's the one bit of advice we didn't follow. My dh and I like our sleep in the morning snd there was never a time where we were like.. oh hey it's 7:30 let's go wake him

Now he's 3 and wakes up whenever.. and he's still on a pretty consistent schedule once his day begins.

I usually let him sleep no later than 8 am otheewise it messes with our schedule

Nope! I only wake the kids for day care, but never on a weekend.

I would have let her sleep until noon if she wanted.
