veterans' day and lack of traffic

holy cannoli!!

with veterans' day on a friday, i think the whole free world took the day off to enjoy a three-day weekend.

i left the house at my usual time and hit the road for my lovely, 50-mile drive to work... only to find that there was hardly anyone on the road. at first i thought "friday light," then i suddenly got a cold chill wondering if everyone had decided a mass protest or strike and no one gave me a copy of the memo... then i thought, might this be a sign of the Apocalypse

then it hit me... veterans' day.
oh, what a sigh of relief!

ah, to laugh at yourself and the stupid things that run through your mind

i got to work in RECORD time. hopefully the drive home will be just as light.

Yes, I was able to get to work quickly, was nice to not sit in traffic.
