daycare near franklin square for teachers (need summers and school holidays off)
Any recommendations? We have our 4 month old with a woman nearby in her home but have not been happy with her. She is very reasonable at only $6/hr and allows us to have her in there 4 days per week and doesn't charge us for school holidays or summers when I will be off.
Anyone have a recommendation for something similar to this? I understand $6/hr is not easy to find, but something under $10 would be nice!

Every daycare I looked at said almost all the kids are gone by 3pm because their moms are teachers. The one we chose had 3 babies in it today because of the same. I assure you, you will NOT have trouble finding a teacher friendly daycare.

I work in a school setting and all the day cares I looked required me to pay for the month regardless if I was sending my son or not. A lot of the kids are picked up by 4, but we pay whether I keep him home or not.

You'll need to find a home setting. Over the summer, my center lets you go part time to hold your spot. If you don't pay over the summer, they won't hold your spot.

True, I guess I didn't really read the post that well.
OP, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a center at that cost. You would absolutely need an in-home daycare.

Try an in-home daycare. I looked at one where teachers did not have to pay for school breaks or summers.
