MAC or PC
I need a new computer for home. DH said he'd get me one for Christmas.
Do I want a MAC or PC? Why?
Some background: I never owned a MAC, but of course have all the other apple products. I love my PC but it's old (it's 10 but still runs relatively well).
I would use it mostly for shopping online, banking, storing photos, music, etc.
I do bring work home with me sometimes so I will need Wordperfect and MS Word (we use both programs at work).
I would like to get rid of my old tower PC and get a laptop.

MAC
There is no issue with having doc go from a PC to a MAC liek the old days. I have had a MAC for years with no issues but every PC we have had has virus issues etc.

Re: MAC or PC
I remember years ago there being an issue with using Word or Wordperfect on a MAC - that no longer exists?

Re: MAC or PC
The new PC laptops have come a long way. I've been on a Mac for a long time, and it's the first time I'm considering a PC because of what it's offering over a new Mac.

Re: MAC or PC
I went from an old DELL Inspiron laptop to a MacBook Air and love it! I have all the programs on it from my Dell (MS Office) plus iTunes and it now works seamlessly w/ my iPad and iPhone (I set it up so I get text messages from my phone forwarded to my Mac).
Definitely no regrets.

Re: MAC or PC
I have Mac, DH has PC. I have no interest in ever going back to PC. Microsoft Office on my Mac is perfect
