San Diego in December

Has anyone been to San Diego in the winter time? How is the weather?

We are planning a family vacation over Winter break and most places we would want to go have been ruled out because of Zika. I've always wanted to go to San Diego and hear there is so many things to do with our 2 year old DD, but I'm nervous that if it's too cold or rainy there isn't a ton to do as most things seem to be outsides.

Thoughts? Would be open for other suggestion as well!

Not sure about Temps in December. You can look up averages.
We went in November and did things like sea world, zoo, animal park, golf. I only recall being cold one night we were walking to dinner.

Thanks! Temp averages say mid 60s during the day and low 50s at night, so it will probably be a little bit chilly, but better than snow!

We ended up booking our trip last night and will be there through Christmas. I'm really excited and already started planning places to go!

Did you find the animal park worth it? I've seen mixed reviews.

Re: San Diego in December

We went the week between Christmas & New Years. The weather was gorgeous. Low 70s & sunshine. Right by the water, in the upper 60s.... still just needed a light hoodie. It felt downright tropical coming from NY that time of year!!! Wish I could move there.
