Painful postpartum exam?
I had my 6 week PP exam today and OMG the internal hurt so much I cried out. She said everything is healed nicely and looks good and I was like why was that so painful, and she said women who BF often have more tenderness/dryness. Did anyone else have a painful internal at their 6 week check? I've been without pain now for a couple weeks, and bleeding stopped, and now I'm sore again and spotting a bit. Ugh.

I'd say that my internal was pretty painful too. And I had a Csection so I can imagine if you have a vaginal birth, it's that much worse!

Painful postpartum exam?
Mine hurt. I then tried to have sex and re-tore. If it's bothering you, I would call and ask about it.

yes but I had an episiotomy that did not heal correctly.

I don't remember whether my exam was painful, but after my first, which was a c-section, sex hurt me a lot for a long time. I think it's pretty normal to take a while to get back to "normal." I had more pain after my c-section than my VBAC. Hang in there, and feel better!
