Why is thanksgiving the black sheep of holidays?
I mean I do have things-both kids have matching pjs, but carters literally had one pair unless you're under a year.
And we have a few board books, but nothing like we do for the other holidays.
Even holidays like 4th of July, valentines, Easter, and St pattys day are easy. New Years is another pia holiday to find stuff for, but I always chalked it up to it being a week after Christmas.

Thanks!! The way my house is laid out I like to put this smaller 6 ft tree in my living/dining room so when anyone comes in my house it looks festive. My big, giant Xmas tree goes in the den for Xmas. Two Xmas trees makes me happy!! But anyway, I thought the smaller tree was perfect for a Halloween and Thanksgiving tree, my kids love it!! Me too!!

Probably because too many people focus on the shopping associated with thanksgiving instead of thanksgiving itself.
This is why - because there is no additional purchasing that is associated with Thanksgiving.
St. Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas: Tons of candies and chocolates associated with each holiday.
Halloween has the added value of costumes to be purchased for parties.
Thanksgiving is all about being thankful for your family and what you have and besides buying food for said celebration, there is no need to buy anything else for it. So the decorations and what not are not produced as they aren't the focused money makers compared to other holidays.

Seriously? I feel like it's so hard to find stuff for thanksgiving compared to every other holiday-decor, children's books, pjs/clothes, toys etc.
Simply because there is no money to be made by these greedy retailers. Grocers make out, yes, but unlike Christmas, where people topple over each other to buy buy buy..., Halloween and the mad rush for costumes & accessories, and all the made up Hallmark holidays such as Valentines Day, Mothers Day & Fathers day where people are in the market for gifts, Thanksgiving is really all about speding time with your family and being Thankful for what you have already. Its a Humble day. People aren't so humble these days.
