Spit up in older babies?
DD was a volcano vomiter when she was teeny tiny. She's now 10 months and I thought had outgrown the spit up but she's done it a few times over the past few days- and twice today.
Anyone else deal with this? What could be causing it?

I think my DD did that because of teething around the same age. Or maybe it was a cold...I forget, but I remember it bothering me until I decided it was from all the mucous she was swallowing.

My DS was a fountain when it came to spitting up. It calmed down by 7-8 months, but he'd still have the occasional spit up until a year.

Maybe with how much more moving around she might be putting a little to much pressure on the belly and spitting up.

Thanks. She's really mucousy, which I think is the issue. I'm not overly concerned, but daycare calls me to pick her up. I'm starting a new job next week so I can't leave and DH is not rushing home from the city (like I had to last week) because of spit up.

they make you pick her up because of spit up? thats so unnecessary!
Hailey was a projectile spitter-upper until around 9m. She spit up every single bottle. She still did it for another month or two but then she stopped once she had more table foods.
Did you ask the Dr about it? Maybe reflux or something like that?

Re: Spit up in older babies?
Perhaps it's post nasal drip. Does she only spit up when she's lying down?
