3 Day Potty Training - share your success stories!
I'm going to start training DS next weekend, he'll be 3 in less than a month so it's time. Please tell me about your success stories if this method worked for you! (If it was a horror show, please try not to scare me off yet lol)

We followed it to a T, and it worked perfectly!!! No more diapers at night either, all in the 3 days. If you veer from it though, even a little, you might not get the same results. We did it the month DS turned 3 and he was somewhat ready, but we were nervouse, and it worked!

By 3 days we were night and day trained with virtually no accidents. He has been trained for over 2 years and can say he has probably had less than a dozen accidents.

2 kids, worked for both! I used diapers at night & that was fine. They were young... 22 mo and 26 months. DD ditched PM diapers before 3 & DS ditched them more at almost 6 (Wetstop was a great tool for him).

Re: 3 Day Potty Training - share your success stories!
My DS was the same age as yours! I've posted several times on here it didn't click until the third day, but I remember the moment that it did.
I potty trained both my kids this way, but I hadn't read the book until my DS. My DD was easy to potty train, caught on on day one.
My standard PSA: Poop doesn't happen in 3 days. Always takes longer and it's really annoying but if you don't go back to diapers it will happen soon enough. I didn't use diapers at all once we started training. My DD never had a nighttime accident (she's a freak of nature, I don't know how that was possible - she was only 2 when I trained her) and my DS had a handful of nighttime accidents for about 2 weeks - nothing crazy and then we were off.
I totally recommend it.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training - share your success stories!
Can someone post exactly what the 3 day training is all about? Forgive me if there is another thread on this but I want to follow this routine from soup to nuts and get it right.
My daughter will be 3 in March and she does sit on the potty but won't do anything until I put the pullup back on. In the spring, she did much better but it was a hit or miss.

I would like to know more about it too.
In August, my DS was all about the potty. We went straight to undies and he didn't have an accident for 5 days. Then all of a sudden, he refused to go on the potty and was having an 5 accidents a day so now we are back to diapers cause I do not have time to wash all the pants he owns every single day.

It's basically no pants or underwear for three days. You stay home and confine them to one room. I put towels down because there were a lot of accidents in the first two days. I kept the kiddie potty in that room the first two days too. I kept giving dd juice and water to make her have to go more. We kept trying the potty every 30-45 mins. It clicked for dd on the end of day 2. I was ready to give up because it was a mess sometimes, but I'm so glad we didn't. I didn't use underwear on her for about 2 weeks after that and she wore loose pants. The thought is anything tight might feel like a diaper.

3 Day Potty Training - share your success stories!
My twins were 2 1/2 when I did it. One day, one of my DD's just came down the stairs and announced she was ready. In 3 days, she was potty trained. She still pees in her sleep though, every morning her pull up is full Her twin sister was like, um yeah NO. She pooped and peed on her own accord and asked for diapers but I stuck with the method and it took her about 6 days/1 week. However, she never wet the bed

What about at night? Did you use a pullup ?

Re: 3 Day Potty Training - share your success stories!
I followed it exactly for 3 days & it worked for both of my sons. No pull ups at all, no night time diapers. Yes, the 1st half of the 1st day was a little hard & they peed on the floor a couple of times but then got it.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training - share your success stories!
I just did it this weekend and it worked!!!!!!!!!
it clicked for my DD 2 1/2 on day 2 BUT you really need to follow it to the T like really pay attention to them. I was like a broken record I just kept repeating myself. it was exhausting but worth it!
I used yellow for pee and brown for poop and she LOVED it and says yellow potty and goes straight to the bathroom.
