Is it totally unsafe to take four Advil?
For a bad headache. Nothing works. Excedrin migraine is a joke. Three Advil does nothing. Help

Its fine. I do it for migraines. And kidney stones. Dr told me it's equivalent to the 800 mg ibuprofen that is prescription strength. Same thing.
Make sure you eat something though. Its harsh on your stomach.

Its fine. I do it for migraines. And kidney stones. Dr told me it's equivalent to the 800 mg ibuprofen that is prescription strength. Same thing.
Make sure you eat something though. Its harsh on your stomach.

Thank you so much. Taking three irritates my stomach so I definitely would take four with food (though eating is the last thing I want to do).
My DH is calling me a poop for being in bed with a pillow over my head right now. He claims he doesn't get headaches.

nobody who has not suffered a migraine will ever understand how life interuppting it is.
It's not just a "headache" where you can pop an advil and go about your day.
I throw up violently, I lose partial vision, I get numbness.
It's horrible.
Hopefully it passes soon!

I take four when I need to. Like Nell said, it's "prescription" strength. Migraines are the worst. Feel better soon!!!

Caffeine dilates the blood vessels.

4 will be fine. Like other;s said, it's prescription strength. Just don't do it all the time, it's rough on the tummy. Tell your husband he's a poop! Good for him he doesn't get headaches Migraines are not headaches as any migraine sufferer knows. I can't have any light on, any noise, and throw up. Try to eat with the pills, have a cup of coffee or some caffeine and try to pass out. Feel better! They are the worst!!!

Completely safe. RX ibuprofen is 800mg, which is equal to 4 OTC ibuprofen.
