Is this a good enough gift?
DS got invited to a classmate party. DS said the girl liked Shopkins. I bought her a $15 shopkins cupcake set. The toy is so tiny though.
Should I add something?
I usually spend $15-20 on classmate gifts where we have no relationship. $20-30 for kids' friends. $30-100 for my friends' kids.

I always worry too about a gift not looking like enough too...you could always go to 5 below and get something to add and put it all in a gift bag

I think that's fine! People worry too much about gifts and money. It's a kid in your son's class that he may or may not ever see again and you're buying something she's into. Yes, for close friends I spend more, but for classmates I spend about $20'ish.
I've bought great gifts for kids that they really wanted that was on clearance that used to be $35 and then down to $18. You don't have to add something unless you want to. The child is not checking on how much you paid.

It's fine. I didn't look at any of the gifts DD got from her friends party and say- omg how cheap!
To be honest, I didn't even know who gave what because she tore into everything so fast when we got home form the party place that I lost track of cards, what went with what, etc

Yes! This exactly! My boys will play more with a cheesy favor he got at a party sometimes more than the expensive, well thought out gifts.

I added a little craft kit from Michaels. I had bought it for my kids but I will just give it to the birthday girl.
