For characters - I paid for something on Kenny the pirate's website that tells you the character times. When I was in Disney, I was using the Disney app and I could only figure out how to see the next time for the character, not the full schedule. It was too difficult to plan, so I paid for the other app. I think it was less than $10 for a year. The only thing is, I think it's based on past appearances, so it's always possible there is a change for that day.
In the park, if the character is on a break, the handler will usually still be there and can tell you times, but I've even been given incorrect info from them.
Keep in mind that they cut off the lines, so you can't just show up at the end of the time window and expect to see the character. You should aim for the beginning of the window, or even before it starts.

Checkout disboards. It's like LIF but for Disney pros.
They have tons of info and will tell u all u need to know.
They even have drama over there lol

I've heard Kenny the Pirate is good for character info-- you can pay, but its not that much money.
also easywdw.com has some good info, too...
and theres always disboards.com for some drama with your disney info!  (but they really do have great, detailed info on EVERYTHING!

YES! I couldn't agree more! I got ripped to shreds on one post and another post of mine got pulled, I had no idea I could be so controversial!
