Once Upon a Treetop
Any input on this place for a 2 year old birthday party? It has some pretty bad reviews on yelp, mostly the staff is horrible and they don't clean the toys so a lot of kids get sick. Thanks.

It's a great place and we've been for parties and it's closed to the public then. I would do the first party if you're concerned about cleaning.

There are a ton of mixed reviews on that place. I went once, and personally was not a fan. But i went during an open play session, so perhaps parties are different. If you have never been there, I would suggest going on your own for open play before booking.

I agree with the reviews for open play. It's a very cute place, but yes kids are always getting sick and staff doesn't clean.
Parties are more organized, but that doesn't change the germ factor.
My friend saw a kid throw up. Told the staff and they just came and put a cone over it. Ack

The kids LOVE that place - I did my younger son's 5th birthday party there last year b/c he insisted on it.
I am not a fan of the 9 million toys b/c HOW do you clean all of that? But, it's not a dirty place! - I'm not a fan of open play there b/c people let their kids do god knows what ......but for a party, where it's your crew, it's fine.

Re: Once Upon a Treetop
My DS loves it there and I love the concept (creative play, and something a little different from the popular bounce parties).
We used to go there for open play a fair amount and my DS would get sick almost every time wihin a week later. Ultimately we stopped going during flu season and I stuck to going over the late spring and summer months. It's literally impossible to keep all those toys clean. I think there's a limit to how clean any kids place is though. The ones that are, are the exception.
Having said all that, my DS had his second birthday there and it was a great party. The staff handled everything and did a great job. I was able to talk to guests and they kept everything organized. Everyone seemed to have a great time.

I've only been to one party there but it was great and the kids loved it. And I thought the staff was fine- organzied, helpful. As far as germs, I don't know- but I'm not a germaphobe at all. DD didn't get sick after- that's all i know.
