Cheap Iphone 6?
If I am understanding the new system with Verizon, you no longer get a cheap upgrade price for a phone; the discount is in the bill itself, and you basically benefit from getting it cheaper elsewhere.
We used to just take whatever was free with the upgrade (we don't need the latest and greatest.)
I have the 4s and want the 6.
What is my best bet?
I don't want used. Or do I?

Cheap Iphone 6?
Check Bestbuy. I was looking and they have the 6s on sale for $99 (I think that was the 32gig, 16 gig might be cheaper).

Thanks. Right now it's free with contract but without the contract it's $649 or something.

I went to Best Buy. Got to keep my granfmdfsthered in price. Paid $260 for 6s and a new case. Verizon.

Thanks. You mean the price you would have paid before Verizon change their upgrade plan?

I am so confused and frustrated by the new plan change, which is why I kept my iphone 4s for so long. But I dropped it a few weeks ago and it shattered, even with the Otterbox case. When I looked at the upgrade on the Verizon site, it was so expensive, but I did check BestBuy and they had the 6 16g for like $99. I went in to the store specifically wanting that phone to buy outright, but somehow the larger 6s 32g worked out to be cheaper by doing installments on my monthly bill. I have no idea how the math works and feel like getting a new phone is like negotiating for a new car, but I saved $30 on my monthly bill, so somehow it worked out. As you can see, I keep my phone for a long time, and once the installments are done, my bill will drop again.

I've had my phone with Verizon for 12 years. When I had it it was free text, data, etc. dh went to uograde and lost all his free. I went and was able to keep my old plan. Just had to pay for phone, which was 260 including a new case.
