Pjs and another question
What does your newborn-6 months baby sleep in at night? What about in the winter? Thanks!
Do you put a onesie under everything the baby wears now or only when it starts getting colder out?
Next question. Onesie under all clothes in the winter right? Short or long sleeve? What about a jacket for when we go out? First time mom lollll :) thanks everyone!

ds wears a onesie and then feetie pj's with a sleepsack over it. I just bought fleece sleepsacks. It will be this all winter. The heat will be on ventually so I don't think much needs to be changed. Some pj's are terry material, some are cotton, I don't have fleece yet. I don't love fleece but his roo may be on the cooler side so I may invest in some. I also have 2 piece sets whici a onesie would go under as well and probably socks

I used to do carters fleece footie pjs... If my home happened to feel a bit colder than other nights I would put a short sleeve or sleeveless onesie on... At that point they can regulate their body its not like when theyre an infant... If she wore cotton footie pjs then I put a short sleeve or sleeveless onesie everytime. At that age my dd didn't sleep with a blanket.

We always had DD in cotton footie pajamas and a sleepsack. From 5-8 months she was in the merlin suit and that thing is warm, so at times she was just in a onesie with socks.

What about their hands? They always seem to be cold. Should I put on those cotton mittens? Do they need a hat? Lol

I never put a onesie on underneath pajamas, never put mittens ever, nor a hat to bed. Just footie pjs. It's not good for them to be too warm- increases risk for sids.

No! Overheating bad. It's a SIDS risk. Just a onesie and a swaddle in summer And long sleeve pjs and a sleep sack in winter

Re: Pjs.
Just footie PJs. We have sleep sacks for daycare but never use them at home. In the summer she wore onesies- she always seems to run a little warm. Also, her room has a separate thermostat so I can warm up just her room while keeping the rest of the house cool at night.

Okay I will do cotton footie pj in the fall with a cotton sleep sack. Then fleece footie pj and a fleece sleep sack in the winter. Then a onesie depending how cold it is.

Pjs and another question
I rarely put a onesie under clothes in winter. Only if the outfit came with one.
Thin fleece jacket that you can buckle the baby in the car seat without adjusting the straps. If baby is still in infant carrier, get a shower cap style cover.

I basically never used onesies, even in winter
As for sleep, we used those fleece sleep dresses, but usually just regular pjs. But we keep our house plenty warm

Pjs and another question
In the winter, DS slept in a onesie, fleece footie PJs and a sleep sack.
This time of year, he would just be in a cotton footie PJs.
Once it got cold, DS would always wear a onesie (especially since he had eczema on his back and this made it so he couldn't scratch it.)

I always used a onesie in winter under all their clothes and for bed. Long sleeve in winter, and now that we have CAC, I used a short sleeve onesie overnight as well under her PJ's.

Me neither. I never saw the point and I certainly wasn't adding an extra layer that I had to change in the middle of the night if she peed/pooped/puked. She wore footies to bed and was swaddled until she started rolling and then she went into a sleep sack.
She sleeps in onesies now at 9 months but we'll be switching to regular PJs soon as the weather cools down.

Pjs and another question
I do use knesies under most clothes. It helps his skin not be donirrated from the shirt lifting etc. just an extra layer. If the outfit is a onesie just that. It helps Keep it down. If the outfit is short sleeves then a light zip up hoodie jacket. But nothing bulky in the car seat.

Re: Pjs and another question
Just a onesie and a stretchie (usually cotton, but I'd use terry or fleece if it was really cold out - dd's room has 2 exterior walls and it gets drafty and cold in there). Usually a short-sleeved onesie, but long-sleeved when really cold. I never swaddled or used swaddlers - did not trust them if I wasn't directly supervising.

Re: Pjs and another question
And for going out -basically oct-April I ALWAYS put a onesie on my kids when babies, and undershirt once they reach toddlerhood and beyond. I'm convinced it's an Italian thing, but it bothers me to not have one on. It helps keep their bellies warm, and to me it's like the equivalent of not using a sheet when sleeping. You just need some sort of layer! Don't ask me to explain!

Depends on your kid and your house. My ds was always hot so he slept in lighter stuff.

Pjs and another question
In winter my girls slept in cotton sleeper with fleece sleep sack or fleece or terry sleeper with a cotton sleep sack. No onesie.
During the day I rarely put a onesie under clothes other than when my second was a newborn (preemie) and it was winter. Going out they wore a hoodie or the carter's sherpa jacket and I put a blanket over them in the car seat.
