Movie - Group Tickets - Charity?
Hey everyone,
Has anyone ever heard of a movie theater where group sales go towards a charity? My job is considering hosting a movie screening for our employees but it would be awesome if some of the $$$ was going towards a charity as well.. An employee mentioned that they heard of this but I can't find anything on it! :(

Most movie theaters do fundraising where they give you a set price for the movie and popcorn/drink and then the charity/fundraising group can charge whatever they wish above that cost. Anything above the cost is the charities to keep. Just call up the local theater and ask them their policy.

Went to a fundraiser recently at bellmore theatre...they charged $20 a ticket which included popcorn soda for the movie and beforehand in a party room they had cheese and wine...it was the most fun I ever had going to see a movie

Yep. Went to see pets at Regal Ronkonkoma. It was a 9am show for a charity. Tickets were whatever you wanted to donate.
