How was your trip to Costa Rica? I'm going in November to Manuel Antonia area. Any recommendations?

Sorry I just saw this. I was in Tamarindo. Totally not what I expected and the first day was not good. After that we kinda got into a groove and ended up having a great time.

Even though it is the rainy season we had sun every single day. We went on a tour that we did zip lining, horse back riding (never again!!!!) white water kayaking (best part) and then hot springs.

We also took a surf lesson. I have a board and have always tried to surf so I was unsure about the lesson but it was the best thing to do. Feel so much better about doing it up here.

Things I hated - The what I like to call the "pura vida" guys. One actually stole my cell phone but they are IMO the Costa Rica version of low life surfer dudes scamming people. There are also people selling stiff on the beach which I'm ok with as if you say no they move on but the little kids are relentless so just be firm with them!!!

That blows that they stole your cell phone. that alone would destroy my trip. We're doing the Manuel Antonio Park Hike, Mangrove boat tour and rainforest spice tour. I hope the rain stays away while we're there. I'm going to see if I can hit in the white water kayaking, sounds like fun.
