Civil service jobs
Anyone have info they can share with me. I've been in insurance for the past 10 years and now that I have been laid off I'm evaluating what to apply for. Several people have told me to look into the town, county or state and I'm not even sure what I would be qualified for.

Just be aware you can take and ace the test and it doesn't mean the job will be yours. These jobs for the most part are hard to get into...as with anything it is politics - know people in these areas and have them also put in a good word for you.
The pay usually stinks horrendously too - but if you're there for years the pay is good and the benefits are fantastic.

I'm looking at the benefits at the moment. Even if I can get in at a lower and work my way up. My uncle works for the county so I plan to use that connection if it comes down to it. Just trying to do with my life next.
