Christmas Card Question - Siblings of Same Sex
Do they wear the same outfit or coordinating colors? Anyone have pictures of past cards to share? My DH thinks they should not have the same dress bc my oldest DD will probably need to hold DD2 in the picture but I always imagined them matching!!
Thoughts?

Christmas Card Question - Siblings of Same Sex
Last year we got carters outfits- the baby had a sweater and pants and my older one had the same as the sweater but it was a dress that had a turtleneck underneath. So same pattern/color's but not totally matching.

I only have 1... but if i had 2 i would do colors that compliment each other so everything is def coordinated and not clashing... but i would not do the same dress... im not into matchy matchy at all... i

Ive done it both ways.. first year I did diff dresses same color scheme -- last year they wore the same dress... this year theyre wearing the same.. I wanted to do different but I found a dress I loved and they only had thecolor I got.. or pink.. and pink isnt very christmassy :) So the same it is :)

I have done both ways - in the beginning they wore matching outfits. Now that I have 4 boys they wear coordinating outfits

I think it's just personal preference. I have twins and a 3rd-all boys. I match them. I just think it looks so cute. I know they won't always let me do it, so I'm going to as long as I can
P.S. I'm 9 years older than my sister so I usually had to hold her for our pictures and my mom matched us! And this was in the 80s-so velvet and lace galore

Thanks girls. I ended up ordering dresses that basically match but one style is more toddler and the other one is the baby version. Hoping it looks good! And of course I got matching Xmas pjs and matching Christmas day outfits lol Someone stop me lol

Where did you order dresses? I haven't seen much of a selection yet.
I went with these from Carters bc the first year I did plaid, then last year I did burgundy. It was the best of what I saw so far. I really want to do Gold but havent seen anything I like yet so I figure I can always return the red ones..

I have them wear coordinating outfits. I don't like matchy match. Usually I go to gymboree and they have a bunch of coordinates so it makes it easy.

Just waated to update that I got the red dresses and was not a fan.I have had numerous Carters dresses and these 2 didnt seem well made at all. I hope Gymboree comes out with their Holiday line soon!

Just a thought on same color- if your older DD has to hold your younger DD I wouldn't do the same color because they will blend in and you'll only see your younger DD's head!

DD2 will be one in November, so I only had her first Christmas where she was just 5 weeks and Easter. I got them matching dresses for both holidays. I think it looks so cute and my older DD loves that her sister has the same dress as she does. I plan to do matching again for this year.
