Atlantis vs beaches Turks
If you had to pick between the 2 which would you choose. Would be staying at the reefs in Atlantis or Beaches Turks and Caicos. (With kids ages 8 and 3 at travel time ). Thanks!

Re: Atlantis vs beaches Turks
We've been to both and I'd choose Atlantis. Atlantis has much more to do. Our kids had a blast with the waterpark and loved the aquarium. We did not do kids club but will definitely use it the next time we go to Atlantis. They have a free movie theater and various arts and crafts around the resort. Also multiple animal encounters. Everything is paid for a la carte so it will add up but in my opinion, the food is much better at Atlantis. We ate at Nobu and Mesa Grill. Reef has a Starbucks in their lobby. I forgot the name of the brunch place at the Cove but it was excellent, albeit expensive.
Total cost will probably be the same since Beaches is all inclusive.
We stayed at Cove the last time we went but plan to stay at Reef when our new baby arrives. Cove and Reef share a private beach and pool that the outsiders cannot access.

Re: Atlantis vs beaches Turks
Your 8 year old will probably like Atlantis. I had a 3 & 2 year old when we went and it was a complete waste on them (not to mention we had bad weather). They were happy with one zero entry pool. Food was good, but ridiculously expensive (most ever)... Happy we did a meal plan. Aquarium was cool... But you can only see it for so long. The hotel was poorly run. Accommodations were not impressive. I haven't been to beaches... But I thought Sandals was a lot better! We will not go back until our kids are teens. The big benefit is that the water park IS really cool. Hubby and I enjoyed the rides.

We've done both and I would pick Atlantis. We thoroughly enjoyed it and have been back since. Kids preferred it to Turks. Love the water park.. food is expensive but on par for what I expected. We aren't big drinkers and my kids don't eat much so I didn't feel Turks was worth it.

We have stayed at the reefs before we had kids and loved. Considering the cove or the reef this time. Can I ask you- if the cove appropriate for young kids? Or are we better off at the reefs? Or does it not matter.

We had a really nice suite at Cove. The suite was very modern. The Cove is not kid oriented but it worked for our kids just fine. I am a bit of a hotel snob. It really bothers me when we are in a shabby room. Cove did not disappoint. I believe Cove is more luxurious but Reef has kitchens.
I also liked the spa at Atlantis. I like that there is something for everyone at Atlantis.

I am a huge hotel snob!! This is what is discouraging me from booking beaches bc I hear some of the rooms are just ehh. Ok will research Cove vs Reef more. The reef was beautiful 8 years ago! Cove looks amazing. But my son is young so that's what it confusing me (3 years old when we would travel)

When we went, we went with an almost 3yo and almost 5yo. It was great! The hallways are usually empty so it isn't like you can tell who is in the rooms and besides the check in area, the first floor is open. Cove does have an adult only pool that we did not go to. We went to the family friendly pool that Reef and Cove share. It was an awesome vacation, one of my favorites.

You pretty much sold me. My daughter (the 8year old) has been begging us to go lol. We were looking to do a non Disney vacation early next summer and highly considering this.

Re: Atlantis vs beaches Turks
We always stay at Cove. Have been doing it every year since my youngest was 2. Plenty of kids at the cove/reef pool and beach. Fellow hotel snob here. They never give us an issue about having kids and the staff usually fuss over them. You don't see many in the halls but my kids are well behaved in the halls and elevators so not to disturb anyone on a child free vacation. You will not be disappointed!
