Best virus protection?
My laptop is running super slow and my virus protection (I downloaded the free version of avast) has ended. Anyone knowledgeable about the best virus protection I can download so I can avoid going to the store to buy? I have googled and found a few but then I get nervous I am falling for a trap and whatever I download will infect my computer! Thanks!

we use webroot. its pretty cheap too.
it does regular scans and alerts to anything fishy

Third party review of the most popular free antivirus programs.
I use AVG on all of my personal PCs and android devices. I've also used Avast and Adaware products at various times in the past, and I like them as well.
