Holtsville pool
I have never been here but I plan on taking the kids this week. I checked the town website but I still have a few questions... Are there chairs there or do I have to bring my own? Is food allowed in there? Can I pack a lunch? Any additional info is greatly appreciated. TIA!

If you aren't a Brookhaven Town Resident, the fee is more. So you pay to get in the park, then pay to get in the pool. I don't know the prices off hand.
I haven't been there in years...less than impressed with the Brookhaven Town pools. But, they did have chairs back then, and you can bring food in.

The Centereach pool is really nice if you're near there. They have a sprinkler area and a giant water slide. It's $6 adults and $4 child for residents.

That's a little bit further for me but I don't mind driving there if it is nicer. I haven't been to either. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've been to both and I definitely think Centereach is nicer. Have fun!

I like Centereach pool better because of the waterside too. You can bring your own chairs and cooler. I would bring an umbrella too and you can set it up on the little grassy area.

I agree! Great pool, love the water slide and the sprinkler section. No shade so definitely bring an umbrella if you need shade. There's also a nice playground right outside the pool area.
