AF on pill after having kids

I've been on one pill or another since I was 20, and dx with pcos. As long as I was on a pill, my periods were light. Now, after having kids, my periods are SO heavy and painful. I've been on 3-4 different pills (including some I've been on before kids), all with the same result. Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts?

My period is much heavier since having DD. I am not on any pill though.
It's also more regular than it has ever been in my entire life.

Yes! Heavy and irregular. I had my period like every other week, it was terrible. It was the same pill I was on pre-pregnancy and I had never had my period on it at all. My OB said it's actually pretty common.

I gave up and ended up getting an IUD in early June and like it so far. I've had one period and some intermittent spotting (though nothing at all the past few weeks).

When I wasn't pregnant my periods were much heavier since having kids and it still comes every 28-30 days. I am not on the pill though and I don't want to go back on it.
