Bassinet and then he went into his own room in his crib at 4 weeks. I could have moved him sooner.

Re: Newborn

Sometimes rock n play (better sleep so I could get some sleep), sometimes bassinet (wanted them to get used to sleeping laying down). Would alternate between sleep shifts.

Re: Newborn

When she first came home she'd only sleep in her bouncy seat. So we carried that in our bedroom at night.
Around 3-4 months we bought the Rock n Play and she slept in that until about 6 months old when we transitioned her to her crib with no issues.

Rock n play for 5 weeks then crib was the best thing for my older one. For various reasons, the little one was in it much longer and now she won't sleep in a crib and she's too big for the rnp so we cosleep and it sucks.

Re: Newborn

Put your newborn wherever he/she sleeps best. Newborn months is all about survival...you and the baby. You need to sleep, so do whatever works.

DS slept in the swing at night. Around 5w, he started to like the crib, but only for the first half of the night. By 5 months he was in the swing all the time.

DD was in the RnP for a long time. She didn't sleep well for a really long time, so that's still all a haze. I know that she was in the crib by the time she was rolling easily.

DS1 slept in a bassinet at night and on me during the day (sometimes in the swing). Ds2 also slept in the bassinet at night, but during the day he slept in the swing, the bouncer, or the pack'n'play. They were both in their cribs at night at 5 weeks.
