Girls and wiping

TMI

My daughter had been trained for about 8 months. I used to wipe her and she had no problem. Now she is saying it hurts and only she can do it. She isn't doing a great job and fights me tooth and nail to wipe her (I'm talking pee). I tried the wipes and notice she's really read and has some white discharge when I fought her to look. The doctor recommended a yeast cream, which we used but I'm looking for any other BTDT advice.

Girls and wiping

This is totally common when girls are learning to wipe themselves--and aren't very good at it. We used Nyastin and cleared it right up.

Ugh. Our pediatrician suggested to clean the area every night with a cotton ball and baby oil. I never heard of this, but said it keeps the area moist and clean. Seemed to work

Girls and wiping

Dd1 just had something. It was really red and she said it hurt her. Took her to the dr and he looked at it and checked a urine sample for uti. Probably some sort of infection from sitting in a wet bathing suit at camp. He suggested lotrimin twice a day. It's worked.

We've been dealing with this too. Ped said its normal in girls but sometimes DD clenches when I try to look and clean the area. Our Ped told me to take a small bit of hydrocortisone cream and mix it with Balmex. I do that every so often. I wipe her with flushable wipes but at day care I think they use really cheap toilet pape which doesn't help. I brought in wipes for them to use on her there too.
