Newborn bedroom furniture
Hi! So I am expecting twins in Jan. This will be #3 and #4. For my first we bought a convertible crib and dresser drawers. Which has lasted to me second child. The first two were both girls. The twins are both boys. I went to BBB yesterday and the cribs are alone $500-600. Which is fine but I have to buy 2...plus a dresser. I know they have cribs in the center (the one in garden city) and those are less money but they don't have dressers that go with it. So my question to you ladies is...if you just bought a crib what did you do about a dresser?? Are there better places to shop for furniture other than BBB and BRUS? Thanks!!!

My sister got a beautiful crib off amazon for much less than what she saw at Bru. They got an awesome dresser from ikea to go with it. It's 6 large drawers and a little taller than the typical changing table combos but works perfectly.

Kohls has a ton of baby furniture online that would get delivered to your house and you'd assemble. I believe you can also use their coupons on it (wait to order until you have a 30%). We got DD's crib and matching dresser at BRU. Forgot how much the dresser was but the crib was $299 - Delta brand. She's 15 months and its holding up great. Very sturdy.

Re: Newborn bedroom furniture
Try ikea. Each crib is very little ($100), you can buy a cheap dresser, they are very highly rated, look like the other popular brands and mine have held up for 5 years now without any issues! Even their mattresses were cheap and very good. I have assembled, disassembled and reassembled the cribs multiple times. The whole shebang will cost you $150 per crib and mattress (assuming $50 upgraded mattress)... So $300. Add $200 for a dresser. Whole thing will be less than just a crib (and trust me, quality is great).
When the boys are older, buy them kid furniture (twin beds or bunk beds) and donate/sell/give away the cribs.

Re: Newborn bedroom furniture
I have to tell you - I have Stanley in one son's room, Pottery Barn in the other's ..... Ethan Allen in my Dining Room, Thomasville in my Living Room ........ MY master bedroom is still Ikea - and it's THE best quality of them all.
Obviously the DR and LR are heavy, sturdy wood - BUT, the finishes are terrible.
And the boys' rooms? Nothing to be impressed by for the price tag - AT ALL.
I WISH I would have bought their stuff @ Ikea!
Definitely check it out

I have a few friends who ordered on Overstock or Wayfair and were really happy.
