Ped Recommendations
I need a new ped closer to home (mine is in Queens) in south shore Nassau. Would need late and/or weekend hours (either is fine doesn't have to be both) and affiliated with Cohen's.

Dr. Valerie Cohen in Levittown- 516-735-4949, just switched to her from another practice she used to be at, so far it has been great. They are affiliated with Northwell.
ETA I believe her late night is Wednesday.

Ped Recommendations
Dr. Lippman and Dr. rosenbloom on merrick rd. in Baldwin. Open Saturday and Sunday, always give same day sick appointments. You can even make well appointments for weekends too. I live in Bellmore and go there. Its only the 2 docs so you always see a dr. They did recently hire a nurse practioner too that I like a lot.

Beach Pediatrics! HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. We switched from one of the other peds mentioned (you can FM me if you like) and I am THRILLED. They have evening and weekend hours, and are SUPER accommodating - I've never had to wait more than an hour or two for a same day appointment if DS is sick, and I've never waited more than 15 min to see a doctor. There is no on call service - the emergency line goes straight to the doctor on call's cell.
I'm so happy there I could go all day!

Ped Recommendations
Pediatric Health Associates in Plainview on Manetto Hill Rd is FANTASTIC. My DD was a patient at a different practice (Central LI Peds) and we switched to PHA at 10 months for various reasons. PHA has 8 (yes 8!) doctors and 1 PA who is great. They are open 365 days a year and are usually open until 7/7:30 every night. They have sick walk-in hours every Monday thru Friday from 8-11AM. No appointment necessary. Just bring your child in during the time frame and the doctor doing walk-ins that morning will see them. They also have a full lab right in their office so no need to go anywhere else for a blood draw, urine test, etc. Everything done right then and there during your appointment. One of the doctors, Dr. Fierstein, runs a Facebook group just for patients of the practice (they'll add you to the group when you join because it's closed to the public) where you can post questions, pictures of rashes, etc. Dr. F usually responds very quickly and will tell you how to proceed (i.e. try this over the counter stuff and observe for 48 hours, you need to come in today to be seen, etc.) I can't recommend them enough. I am so happy we switched and my only regret is that I did it sooner once I started to have problems with our original practice. Our favorite doctors are Dr. Maggie (Chalson), Dr. Read, Dr. Cruvant, and Dr. Samuel. As mentioned earlier, Nitasha, their PA, is also fabulous and does both sick and well visit appointments.
