Yes, normal. It could be from the vaccine or it could be a virus and just coincidental.

Re: Fever from mmr?
My son had a fever and rash 8 days after the MMR. Took him to the ped just in case. He was fine after a couple of days.

Fever from mmr?
Yes, its the stupid MMR. It was like CLOCK work. for us it was ALWAYS a week to 10 days later and it was horrible fever. She was miserable. Which is why I gave it by itself. All by itself. Always when she was VERY VERY healthy. She needed all her strength to get through that stupid shot. I never understood why it was so unusual that I refused to gang it up with others on my child. I stood my ground on that. Something I don't regret one bit.
Shame that my daughter won't have that freedom with her child and more parents are losing that right because of anti-vax idiots. We should be able to make educated and valid decisions about our children. Thanks to those fools we are now forced to be numbers instead of people. It's sickening. ... sorry.. off track.
It lasted about 3 days for us. Just long enough to make me want to kill a few people but never long enough for the doctors to fess up that I was right.

Re: Fever from mmr?
Yep my son got the fever exactly 9 days afterwards and EXTREMELY irritable. Of course pediatrician said unlikely to be from the vaccine..... So annoying. It was clearly from the vaccine. My friends son had the same fever + rash 8 days later and the pedi said it was HF and mouth. Again...totally from the vaccine. If you read the vaccine paperwork its very common and usually occurs 7-12 days after the injection. Stinks but goes away w/in 3 days or so (my sons lasted 2 days)

Yeah, I don't get why they say it's not from the vaccine. It's a LIVE virus. It is supposed to cause a fever- for the second one DD even got a small rash with spots. The whole point of the shot is to have their immune system attack the weakened virus that was injected so they build up antibodies. So of course a fever would be common. I don't get why they try to act like it's not.

Yes, our LO got a fever 7 days EXACTLY after the shot. We made sure he was 110% healthy, delayed it for a little bit to make sure of that, and it was the only shot he got that day. It lasted a day or two and didn't really affect him at all.
