Help...Frequent urge to urinate in DD-not UTI
Starting last weekend my DD (5) started feeling the urge to pee even when she had just gone. But, when she is distracted or sleeping, it doesn't seem to happen. She isn't wetting herself, just feels like she has to go, will sit on the toilet for a few minutes, then get off having not done anything (because her bladder is already empty).
We already ruled out a UTI with a urinalysis at her doc on Monday, but she is still doing it. He said her bladder could just be irritated and that it should resolve within a week or two.
Anyone experienced something similar with their LO?

It could be nerves. I was like that as a child. I'd get nervous I'd have to use the bathroom, and then feel like I had to use it all the time, even when I didn't.

Help...Frequent urge to urinate in DD-not UTI
someone recently had this issue with their DD on another board and it ended up that their daughter was constipated and that was causing her bowels or something to press on her bladder and make her feel the urge to pee. maybe that's it?

I was going to say this, too. My DD had this issue when she was 3. It was frequent urge, and in her case a little leaking. After month, doctor sent us to a urologist. They did a sono and saw she was really backed up. My DD went every day, but very hard, small stools. How are your DD's bowels?

She goes daily and they are a healthy size (sorry, tmi). So, it would be odd that there would be a back up. Her doc said if it doesn't resolve itself, he will send us to a urologist. I have to stop googling because it's freaking me out. I really want this resolved before kindergarten starts
