Babyproofing table edges
Is there anything that would babyproof the corners and edges of a table without ruining the table?

We never bothered. Just watch the kids when they're around the table and in no time they learn to avoid it.

Re: Babyproofing table edges
We had those and while they said they won't damage, they did. It left a horrible sticky coating that wouldn't come off for anything. Luckily the table was old and shittty anyway, so we were planning to get rid of it for something nicer once DD got a little older. But I don't trust any of that stuff anymore I'd have been pissed if it was a good piece of furniture

Same for us. We used it for the bottom of our fireplace and also for our kitchen island (both made of the same type of granite). We were able to remove all the sticky residue but it was not an easy task, at all!!!

That's what we did. I said the phrase "That'll learn ya" often...
We didn't want them to get used to bumping into the table with no consequences. If they did, when they got big enough to run fast, at another place without bumpers, they could cause serious damage. My thoughts were that if they learned not to run into our tables, they wouldn't run into any tables.
DS is almost 5'6", and he hasn't run into a table in ages!

This. We had them for our tables and entertainment center. Left a residue!
We had to have something. The let them learn technique didn't work for us
