Another Disney Question
We are going to Disney in 3 weeks and staying at Saratoga Springs. I definitely want to be to MK before rope drop so what time do you think we should plan on leaving the resort? Also, what would be the best way to get there from the resort?
I haven't been to Disney in 13 years so I will take ANY tips that you'd like to share We are a group of 7---6 adults and my 2 year old. I somehow got put in charge of FP and dining so I just winged everything

Re: Another Disney Question
Do you have a rental car or are you using the Disney bus system.
If you are taking the bus, Saratoga Springs to MK takes about 15-20 minutes or so. It depends on where in Saratoga you are (there are internal bus stops).
If you are driving, you would go to the transportation and ticket center and then take either the ferry or the monorail to MK.
We never do rope drop, but I would recommend getting to the gate at least 30-45 minutes before park opening.

Re: Another Disney Question
Thanks! We will have a rental car but I don't even think all 7 of us will fit in it, plus the car seat (my MIL booked the trip, not me lol) so I think we were going to mostly use their transportation system to get to the parks. And yes, I was planning on getting there 30-45 mins. before park opening b/c that's what I've read on Disney planning websites . I am used to planning trips all over the world but I feel like Disney is overwhelming

Another Disney Question
Saratoga Springs has horrible bus service to the MK (and most other parks...but MK is the worst). We have stayed there twice, including this past February. There are several internal bus stops. If you are picked up last, then forget about getting a seat (and sometimes forget about even getting on that bus!). Fortunately we stayed in the first picked up area, so were one of the first on. The last stop, forget it...we had to leave people multiple times because of no room. I seriously loathe the transportation there. I would get out there AT LEAST 1.5 hours before rope drop to be honest.

Ughh that sounds terrible I have no idea where our room is...I just know we have a 2 bedroom villa.

2 bedrooms are in every section. I would request the Paddock section when you do your online check in. That way you can get a seat, and you are just a walk over the bridge to the Springs which is where the main pool, food, etc. is. There is a pool in the Paddock section too which is fun, and has a slide and food stand.

Thank you for the helpful info. I didn't know we could do online check in. My MIL booked everything but I have access to her Disney acct b/c I have been making FP & dining reservations.

Since it's your MIL reservation, she will have to check in online. Did she order your magic bands?

Another Disney Question
We stay at Saratoga a LOT. We generally are out of the room by 1 full hour before rope drop. We've never had a problem. We were just there in May.

Yes, I set up the colors for the magic bands and they've already been delivered

We stay wherever they put us! LOL! In all seriousness, we have stayed at Congress Park, The Paddock, and the Carousel areas of the resort.

Is there one section you liked better than the others?
