I don't know where you live, and I've had no experience with Gymboree, but I loved the merrick little gym. I felt the program was very developmental-minded, and even though parents were with their kids, the facilitators made a point to actively engage each and every child. It wa a great mix of structure and non-structure. I've done other demos at other places where the facilitator just led and didn't interact.

I think it depends on your location. I've heard some kidville locations are amazing, for example. We just moved from living around the block from on and it stunk.

All those places have trial classes, so I'd just sign up for trials everywhere.

I just did a trial class at gymboree and loved with with my 4 month old. We signed up for the month. I don't know how long I'll do it for though because the closest Gymboree to me is 25minutes away. I'm going to try the classes offered at my library and see if they're just as good.

Ditto- love the Merrick Little Gym. I never tried Gymboree. I wasn't crazy about the Wantagh Kidville, but a lot of people I know love it. Levittown Little Gym was okay. Merrick one blows it away. The owner is awesome.

I was just going to post this! I am deciding between the Gymboree in Bayside and the Kidville in Garden City.
