Potty training (kinda long)
We tried the 3 day method for 5 days when DS1 was 2.5. it didn't work, we were all stressing, so we abandoned it. Fast forward a year... DS is nearly 3.5 and we've once again tried the 3 day method. We are on day 7 with little success... He'll go in the bathroom and pee on the floor if we're not watching him. Sometimes he'll get on the potty with his underwear on and go through them. He's never had a day where he is completely dry unless I'm telling him to go to the bathroom - I tried "let me know if you have to go" and "remember, if you have to go, just run to the potty" but he always tells me he doesn't and then starts going in guys underwear (or on the floor if he's bottomless). He's been pooping on the potty for about 4/5 months and never had an accident since he started- he decided to do that on his own. So, now I'm considering putting him back in pilule and encouraging him to pee in the potty, but not forcing it and hoping he'll get to it on his own. Thanks for reading if you got this far... Advice?

Potty training (kinda long)
Dd is potty trained but I still have to go put her on the toilet-she'll either tell me, or she starts touching herself down there when she needs to go and I'll just bring her to the bathroom.
That being said, I highly suggest the book "Oh Crap! Potty Training"

Is there any reward he would go crazy for? Candy, matchbox car, etc? I usually don't agree with bribery but at this point it seems like a power struggle. I feel like once they have it down they'll continue and won't revert back once rewards stop.

Re: Potty training (kinda long)
My daughter is 3 and a half and has been potty trained for about a month now
I had been trying since right before she turned 3 I tried everything. Rewards. The timer. Candies little potty. Big potty. Pull ups. Etc etc
What worked. Time. She had to do it when she was ready. And when she was. It worked like a charm and not one accident

Re: Potty training (kinda long)
It's slow going with my almost 3 year old. I feel your pain He'll tell me as he's going instead of before so he doesn't make it to the potty in time. He also thinks he went when he didn't & thinks he didn't go when he did. We'll put him on the potty, he'll sit a while, not go, then 5 min later he's going in his pants. I had to throw out so much underwear that now we're practicing while using diapers. Not the best scenario but I'm hoping something will click and to make real progress by the end of the summer.
