When we went, we got a really great deal at Marriot Stellaris. Not kid free, but it had a casino.

I dnot think they have any adult only resorts but the Ritz in San Juan is where we usually stay. It's quiet but there are some families too and i's basically all long islanders haha

We went here, and while the hotel was nice the beach was red flagged for a whole week. From speaking to people that are there often, that seems to be the norm.

Any suggestions on where to stay in Puerto Rico
The Condado beach area in San Juan where the Marriott Stellaris is has rough surf like on our ocean beaches here. That whole area is like that. Great hotel though, we stayed at Easter. Lots of kids though. If you want calmer waters you need to go somewhere like Fajardo to maybe the El Conquistador.

did you find that you were too far away from Old San Juan or the airport? Not sure if we are doing any sightseeing but was trying to figure out if it was worth going that far from everything.

It is far from San Juan. I'm not sure how much it cost, but the El San Juan Hotel is really nice.

Yes, it's far. Actually when we went, we split our trip. Stayed at the El San Juan for 4 nights, and El Conquistidor for another 4. We did most of our sight seeing/excursions the first half (rain forest, forts, Bacardi tour, etc) and then we relaxed at El Conquistador for the remainder of our trip. I think the only excursion we did while we were there was the biolumescent bay, which is right there.
